1. Who we are

Age Calculator ("the app", "we", "us") is developed and published by Apps Bean Technologies, a software and ICT solution company based in Bangladesh. For the purposes of data protection law, Apps Bean Technologies is the data controller for any limited personal information processed through the app.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the Android application distributed on Google Play under the package name com.appsbean.agecalculator, and to this marketing website. It does not apply to other apps or services published by Apps Bean Technologies, or to third-party websites and applications you may reach through links or share actions.

By installing or using the app you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not install or continue using the app.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you enter, stored on your device

The app is built so that the content you create stays on your phone. This includes:

• Dates of birth and end dates you type into the age calculator.
• Names, birth dates, relationship labels and notes you save in Friends & Family.
• Event types (birthday, anniversary, other) and their reminder configuration.
• Reminder time, sound preference (ringtone, beep or vibration), snooze and vibration settings.
• Calculation history, if automatic saving is enabled in Settings.
• App preferences such as theme, date format, metric selection and the leap-day birthday rule.

This information is written to the app's private local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, and we have no ability to read it remotely.

3.2 Diagnostic and usage information

The app integrates Google Firebase services for stability and product improvement. Where these are active, the following may be collected in aggregated or pseudonymous form:

• Crash reports, including stack traces, the screen in use when a crash occurred, available memory and storage state (Firebase Crashlytics).
• Application events such as app opens, screen views, session length, and which tools are used (Google Analytics for Firebase).
• Device and technical attributes such as device model, operating system version, language, country, screen size, app version and a resettable app instance identifier.
• Push message delivery information if you receive an in-app notice from us (Firebase Cloud Messaging).

These reports describe how the app behaves, not what you calculated. The dates, names and notes you enter are not included in analytics or crash payloads.

3.3 Information from Google Play

If you install the app from Google Play, Google provides us with aggregated statistics such as install and uninstall counts, country breakdowns, ratings and reviews. Reviews you write publicly on Google Play are visible to us and to other users, and are governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy.

4. What we do not collect

• We do not require an account, email address or password.
• We do not collect your contact list, call logs, SMS messages or calendar entries.
• We do not collect precise or approximate location data.
• We do not collect financial or payment information; the app is free and has no in-app purchases.
• We do not collect health information, biometric identifiers used for identification, or government identity numbers.
• We do not upload your photo library, and we do not scan photos other than the single image you explicitly select for age analysis.
• We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

5. Device permissions

Android permissions are requested only when a feature needs them, and only at the moment you use that feature. You can decline any of them and continue using the rest of the app.

You can review and revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Age Calculator → Permissions. Revoking a permission disables only the feature that depends on it.

6. Face age analysis in detail

Because face-related processing attracts particular scrutiny, we want to be exact about how this feature works.

• On-device processing. The image you capture or select is analysed locally by an on-device model. The photo is not transmitted to Apps Bean Technologies or to any third party for processing.
• No storage by the app. Once the estimate is produced, the app does not retain the image in its own storage. A photo you took with the system camera may still exist in your own gallery, which is under your control.
• No identification. The feature estimates an apparent age range. It does not create a face template for recognition, does not attempt to identify anyone, and cannot match a face against any database.
• Never shared. When you share a result, the generated image contains text and numbers only. Your photo is never embedded in it.
• Consent-based. The tool only runs when you open it and provide an image. If you never open it, no image processing takes place.
• Third-party photos. If you analyse a photo of someone else, please obtain their permission first. You are responsible for images you supply.

Some jurisdictions regulate biometric processing strictly. This feature is not intended for biometric identification and must not be relied upon for age verification, access control, employment, insurance, medical or legal purposes.

7. Why we process information

• To perform the calculations, comparisons and date operations you request.
• To store the people and events you choose to save, and to schedule their reminders.
• To remember your display, calculation and reminder preferences between sessions.
• To detect, diagnose and fix crashes and defects.
• To understand which features are used so we can prioritise improvements.
• To communicate important service information, such as a critical bug fix.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

8. Legal bases for processing

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on:

• Performance of a contract — providing the app features you asked for.
• Consent — camera and photo access, notification permission, and optional analytics. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in the app or in Android settings.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the app stable and secure, and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

9. Third-party services

The app relies on a small number of Google services. Each has its own privacy documentation.

• Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage and event measurement.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability reporting.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of occasional service notices to the in-app inbox.
• Google Play services and Google Play Console — distribution, updates, install statistics and reviews.

Please refer to the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation for how Google handles this data. We do not integrate social network SDKs, attribution networks or data brokers.

10. Advertising

The current release of Age Calculator does not display third-party advertising and does not use advertising identifiers for behavioural targeting. If advertising is introduced in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is published, the Google Play Data safety declaration will be amended accordingly, and any consent required in your region will be requested in the app.

11. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal information only in the limited situations below.

• Service providers. Google, for the analytics, crash reporting and distribution services listed above, acting on our instructions.
• At your direction. When you tap Share, the result image or text is passed to the app you choose. That app's own privacy policy then applies.
• Legal requirements. Where disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order or a valid request from a public authority.
• Protection of rights. Where necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents or violations of our terms.
• Business transfer. If Apps Bean Technologies is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, information may transfer to the successor entity, which will remain bound by this policy or provide notice of any change.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

12. International data transfers

Apps Bean Technologies operates from Bangladesh. Diagnostic data processed by Google Firebase may be stored and processed on servers located in the United States, the European Union or other countries where Google operates infrastructure. Google implements safeguards for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, as described in its own documentation. Content you create in the app is not transferred internationally because it does not leave your device.

13. Retention and deletion

• Local content. Saved dates, notes, preferences and history remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. There is no server copy for us to delete.
• Photos. Not retained by the app after analysis.
• Crash reports. Retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days, in line with Google's default retention.
• Analytics events. Retained for a maximum of 14 months in aggregated form.
• Support correspondence. Emails you send us are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on the issue, then deleted.

How to delete your data

• Delete individual saved dates by swiping or using the delete action in Friends & Family.
• Clear stored calculations from Settings → Calculation preferences, or Calculation History.
• Clear everything at once via Android Settings → Apps → Age Calculator → Storage → Clear data.
• Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored information.
• To request deletion of diagnostic data associated with your app instance, email info@appsbean.com with your device model and approximate installation date. We respond within 30 days.

14. Security

We apply measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved: content is kept in the app's private storage area rather than shared external storage, network traffic to Firebase uses TLS encryption, the release build is minified and obfuscated, and we keep dependencies updated to address known vulnerabilities.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Device-level protection remains important: use a screen lock, keep Android updated, and install the app only from Google Play. If you believe you have found a security issue, please report it privately to info@appsbean.com before disclosing it publicly.

15. Children's privacy

Age Calculator is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Parents may legitimately use the app to record a child's birthday or calculate a child's age for a school form. In that case the information is entered by the parent, stays on the parent's device, and is never transmitted to us. We encourage supervision if a child uses the Face Age Detector, and we do not recommend uploading images of children to any app for analysis.

If you believe a child has provided information that reached us, contact info@appsbean.com and we will delete it promptly.

16. Your rights and choices

• Access — everything the app holds about you is visible inside the app itself.
• Correction — edit any saved entry directly.
• Deletion — remove entries, clear app data, or uninstall.
• Withdraw consent — revoke camera, photo or notification permission in Android settings at any time.
• Object or restrict — contact us to object to diagnostic processing based on legitimate interests.
• Portability — where technically applicable, request a copy of data we hold in a structured format.
• Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We do not charge for exercising these rights and we do not discriminate against users who do.

17. Additional information for the EEA and the UK

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the rights in section 16 are statutory rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. Requests can be sent to info@appsbean.com and are answered within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, with notice to you. We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

18. Additional information for California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. Apps Bean Technologies does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and has not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted by the CCPA. Requests may be submitted to info@appsbean.com.

19. Google Play data safety disclosures

The Data safety section of our Google Play listing is completed to match this policy. In summary:

• Data collected: app diagnostics (crash logs, performance), and app interaction events for analytics.
• Data shared with third parties: the diagnostic and analytics data above, with Google as our processor. Nothing else.
• Photos: accessed only on your action, processed on device, not collected and not shared.
• Personal content: names, dates and notes are stored on device only and are not collected.
• Encryption in transit: yes, for all network traffic.
• Data deletion request: available by email, and by clearing app data or uninstalling.
• Independent security review: not yet conducted.

The app complies with the Google Play Developer Programme Policies, including the User Data, Permissions and APIs that Access Sensitive Information, Photo and Video Permissions, Families, and Deceptive Behaviour policies.

20. Accuracy and use disclaimer

Age Calculator is provided for informational and convenience purposes. Calculations follow the Gregorian calendar and standard leap-year rules, but you should independently verify any date used for a legal, medical, financial, academic, immigration or employment purpose. Reminder delivery depends on your device's operating system, battery optimisation, do-not-disturb settings and available storage, so please confirm critical dates through another means as well. The face age estimate is entertainment only and carries no accuracy guarantee. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apps Bean Technologies is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the app's output or from a missed notification.

21. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features, technical changes or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of the page will always show when it last changed. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and where required we will ask for your consent again. Continuing to use the app after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy. Previous versions are available on request.
